Welcome
This website offers members of the MIT community the opportunity to comment on questions posed by the authors of “MIT and the Prosecution of Aaron Swartz,” a report submitted to MIT President L. Rafael Reif, at his request, on July 26, 2013.
The site is hosted by MIT Provost Chris Kaiser and Faculty Chair Steven Hall, who were asked by Reif upon his public release of the report to design a process of community engagement that will allow students, alumni, faculty, staff and MIT Corporation members to consider the contents of the report and any implications it has for how MIT moves forward.
In an email to the MIT community on September 5, 2013, Kaiser and Hall explained that this site precedes a set of in-person gatherings they will host during the fall semester, and that comments that this site gathers will be used to help inform those discussions.
If you would like to comment on any of the questions, select the given question and then log in using Touchstone or Infinite Connection via the links provided. Your email address will appear with your comment unless you choose to post anonymously.
